Pat Hannon
1940 - 2010

Patricia M. Hannon, 70, of East Sandwich, died on Friday, April 16, 2010, in hospice care after a brief yet heroic battle with cancer.

Pat leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Robert Hannon; a son, Robert Jr. and his wife Kathryn of Marlborough, Conn.; a daughter, Julie and her husband William Curran of East Sandwich; and four grandchildren, Zachary and Sarah Hannon, and Aidan and Ryan Curran.

In 1982, Pat and her husband established Ice Cream Sandwich, a local Cape Cod landmark noted for its ice cream and the charming lady who treated every customer like her best friend. Beyond that, she treated all her employees over the years in such a nurturing manner that they frequently referred to her as their "second mother."
